Avesoro: Arbitration claim over termination of Liberia mine contract dismissed

An arbitration tribunal dismissed a claim against Avesoro Resources Inc. regarding the termination of International Construction & Engineering's civil and earth works contract for the New Liberty gold mine in Liberia.

The contractor brought the claim against the company after its contract was terminated in August 2014, when the works were 60% to 70% completed.

The company also said it has been successful in the majority of its counterclaim and has been awarded its legal costs.
