Roper Technologies Inc. said its second-quarter normalized net income was $1.42 per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of $1.64 per share.
EPS rose year over year from $1.40.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was $143.9 million, a gain from $141.4 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 16.2% from 16.0% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue came to $889.5 million, compared with $885.2 million in the year-earlier period, and total operating expenses totaled $637.6 million, compared with $638.5 million in the prior-year period.
Reported net income grew 9.1% from the prior-year period to $171.7 million, or $1.69 per share, from $157.3 million, or $1.56 per share.
