IDBI Bank CEO appointed deputy governor of India's central bank

India's government appointed IDBI Bank Ltd. Managing Director and CEO Mahesh Kumar Jain as deputy governor of the Reserve Bank of India for a three-year term, according to a tweet from Rajeev Kumar, secretary of the Department of Financial Services.

Jain will fill the deputy governor post vacated by S.S. Mundra in August 2017, Mint reported.
