Zurich North America announced the leadership team for its new North America Commercial Insurance unit, effective immediately.
Paul Horgan was named head of North America Commercial Insurance, which combines the former Commercial Markets and Global Corporate in North America units. North America Commercial Insurance will be aligned into four business segments: property, casualty, construction and middle markets.
The company appointed Richard Montminy head of property and Brandon Fick head of casualty. Montminy most recently served as head of property, while Fick was head of casualty, both for Zurich Global Corporate in North America.
Marcus Cooper was appointed head of middle markets, and Scott Rasor was tapped as head of construction. Cooper was most recently regional leader for the south region in the Commercial Markets unit of Zurich North America. Rasor will continue to be responsible for setting the strategy and direction for the products and services Zurich North America provides to construction customers in the U.S. and Canada.
David Levinson will assume the role of president and chief agent of Canada. Levinson served as regional leader for the west region in the Commercial Markets unit of Zurich North America.
Thomas Fioretti will become chief risk engineering officer. Fioretti will retain his responsibility for the development and delivery of Risk Engineering's risk management and loss prevention services.
Montminy and Fioretti are based in New York, while Fick is based in Philadelphia. Cooper and Rasor are based in Schaumburg, Ill., and Levinson will be based in Toronto.
