Fitch assigns ratings to Spain-based UCI, unit

Fitch Ratings on Jan. 8 assigned UCI SA and unit Unión de Créditos Inmobiliarios SA EFC BBB long-term issuer default ratings, with stable outlooks.

The rating agency also assigned both companies F2 short-term issuer default ratings and 2 support ratings.

The ratings reflect Fitch's view that there is a high chance of support for UCI from parent Banco Santander SA in case of need.
