Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥143.9 million, a gain from ¥48.9 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 4.5% from 1.3% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue decreased 17.6% on an annual basis to ¥3.20 billion from ¥3.89 billion, and total operating expenses fell 20.9% on an annual basis to ¥2.95 billion from ¥3.73 billion.

Reported net income came to ¥249.0 million, or ¥3.77 per share, compared to a loss of ¥707.0 million, or a loss of ¥10.72 per share, in the prior-year period.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled a loss of 58 sen per share, compared with 80 sen per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was a loss of ¥38.4 million, compared with income of ¥52.6 million in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue declined 13.3% on an annual basis to ¥13.14 billion from ¥15.16 billion, and total operating expenses decreased 12.4% on an annual basis to ¥12.94 billion from ¥14.77 billion.
