CBL COO quits amid scrutiny of overseas ops

CBL Corp. Ltd. COO Suzanne Tindal has left the company, amid CBL facing regulatory concerns regarding its overseas insurance operations.

The New Zealand-based company said it and Tindal "agreed to end their employment relationship," citing "events taking place that are already known to the market." Tindal began as COO on Feb. 1 after being appointed to the role in November 2017.

NZX suspended CBL's stock from trading Feb. 8 due to concerns that it had not given complete and material information to the market. Regulators in New Zealand and abroad have questioned the company's adequacy of reserves for its French construction insurance division, which CBL has since decided to sell.
