Marsh LLC has appointed key leaders for its regional, specialty and placement teams worldwide, effective upon closing of the transaction between its parent company, Marsh & McLennan Cos. Inc., and Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group PLC.
For Marsh International, Adrian Girling will serve as chairman of the U.K. and Ireland corporate and risk management. Nick Harris will become CEO of the Pacific, while Andre Louw will serve as chairman of the same region. Peregrine Towneley will become chairman of the Middle East. James Addington-Smith will be CEO of ASEAN.
For Marsh-JLT Specialty, Simon Harker will serve as global head of aviation. Richard Gurney was named global head of construction. Nick Robson was appointed global head of credit specialty, and Evan Freely will become deputy global head of credit specialty. Andrew George will serve as global head of energy and power, and Jim Pierce will become chairman of global energy and power.
Mark Wood was appointed head of financial and professional lines international for Marsh-JLT Specialty, and Devin Beresheim, was named head of financial and professional lines for the U.S. and Canada. Marcus Baker will become global head of marine for Marsh-JLT Specialty, and Karen Beldy Torborg will serve as global head of private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and infrastructure.
The regional leaders for Marsh-JLT Specialty will be Pat Donnelly as head for the U.S. and Canada, Paul Moody as head for the U.K. and Ireland, Roy White as chairman for the U.K. and Ireland, Paul Knowles as head in continental Europe, Josh Roach as head for the Pacific, Dominic Samengo-Turner as head for Asia, Peter Foley as head for Latin America, and Gaurav Bhatnagar as head for the Middle East and Africa.
For Marsh Global Placement, regional leaders will continue in their current positions reporting to Dean Klisura, who will become the segment's president. The global placement leaders are John Donnelly for Asia and the Pacific, Nick Holmes for continental Europe and the Middle East and Africa, Carlos Rivera for Latin America, Andrew Chester for the U.K. and Ireland, and Chris Lang for the U.S. and Canada. Tom Davies, global wholesale placement leader for Marsh, will continue in that role.
