Deutsche Telekom AG acquired a 25% stake in Cologne-based esports company SK Gaming GmbH & Co. KG for an undisclosed sum.
The German operator has been providing telecom and technology support to SK Gaming since 2018.
The remaining 75% stake in SK Gaming is equally divided among company founder and CEO Alexander Müller, carmaker Mercedes-Benz AG and soccer club 1. FC Köln GmbH & Co. KGaA, according to a news release.
