UK postpones personal injury compensation review result

The U.K. Ministry of Justice said Jan. 27 that it postponed the results of a review on the discount rate applicable to personal injury compensation claims to February, from Jan. 31.

The review is looking at the discount rate applied to lump-sum payments for long-term injuries, which has remained at 2.5% since 2001 despite falls in long-term interest rates in recent years.
