Former Wyo. governor to retire from Cimarex Energy board

Cimarex Energy Co. announced changes to its board of directors, including the retirement of former Wyoming Gov. Michael Sullivan from the board.

Sullivan, who joined the board at the company's founding in 2002, will serve as director emeritus for the next two years, according to a Sept. 23 news release.

With Sullivan's departure, Cimarex appointed Kathleen Hogenson as an independent director on its board. Hogenson is the president and CEO of Zone Oil & Gas LLC, an independent oil and gas company she co-founded in 2007.

The changes will take effect Sept. 30.

Cimarex is an oil and gas exploration and production company whose principal operations are in the Permian Basin and Midcontinent areas of the U.S.
