Southwest Generation to divest 197 MW of gas-fired facilities in California

Southwest Generation Operating Company LLC is planning to sell the 107.4-MW Harbor Cogeneration plant and two other natural gas-fired facilities owned by Colton Power LP, each with a capacity of 45 MW, to Clarion West Energy LLC.

According to a Feb. 5 application with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the parties executed two purchase and sale agreements on Dec. 29, 2017. The projects are within the California ISO balancing authority area.

Alliance Energy Group LLC will act as purchaser guarantor for the payment of obligations of Clarion West Energy. The commission is requested to approve the transaction within 45 days. (FERC docket EC18-52)
