Chinese smartphone-maker Xiaomi enters Japan

Chinese electronics-maker Xiaomi Corp. officially entered the market in Japan Dec. 9, debuting several new products there, according to its official Twitter account Xiaomi Japan.

The company's latest smartphone Mi Note 10 is available for presale Dec. 9 in Japan and will be available for shipment Dec. 16, according to the company's Twitter post.

The Mi Note 10 uses Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd.'s Active-matrix organic light-emitting diode display, while the processor is QUALCOMM Inc.'s Snapdragon 710.

Xiaomi also is now selling its sports band Mi Smart Band 4, portable power bank Mi 18W Charging Bank 3, a new rice cooker and two types of Xiaomi suitcases.

Xiaomi was available in more than 90 markets including India, China, South Korea and Spain before its Japan launch, according to Xiaomi Japan's post.
