Value Industries Q4 loss narrows YOY

4910940 said its fourth-quarter normalized net income was a loss of 96 Indian paise per share, compared with a loss of 1.97 rupees per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of 37.8 million rupees, compared with a loss of 77.1 million rupees in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to negative 1.0% from negative 2.0% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew on an annual basis to 3.92 billion rupees from 3.85 billion rupees, and total operating expenses came to 3.74 billion rupees, compared with 3.71 billion rupees in the year-earlier period.

Reported net income came to a loss of 49.4 million rupees, or a loss of 1.26 rupees per share, compared to a loss of 103.9 million rupees, or a loss of 2.65 rupees per share, in the year-earlier period.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled a loss of 4.40 rupees per share, compared with a loss of 8.70 rupees per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was a loss of 172.4 million rupees, compared with a loss of 340.9 million rupees in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue grew year over year to 15.38 billion rupees from 15.13 billion rupees, and total operating expenses totaled 14.77 billion rupees, compared with 14.73 billion rupees in the prior-year period.
