Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV's U.S. unit is recalling an estimated 239,904 older-model sport utility vehicles in the country.
In a May 10 announcement, FCA US LLC said it will replace the rear lower control arms of certain 2004 to 2007 Jeep Liberty SUVs because of possible water accumulation inside the components, which makes them prone to corrosion and potential fracture and may consequently lead to a condition that may compromise driver-control.
FCA US said the service will be available in June.
