Aker BP's Q3 production falls following maintenance

Aker BP, or Det norske, reported Oct. 5 that it produced 150,600 barrels of oil equivalent per day in the third quarter, down from 157,800 boe/d in the second quarter and also below the 158,600 boe/d seen in the first quarter.

Planned maintenance activities at its operated Skarv and Alvheim fields along with reduced exports from Skarv owing to temporarily higher gas injection impacted the company's production for the quarter.

In addition, the company said that some production growth from the Valhall field was moved to the following quarters as testing for a new well stimulation method took longer than expected.
