Yaoko fiscal Q1 profit climbs 16.7% YOY

Yaoko Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended June 30 came to ¥53.91 per share, a gain of 16.7% from ¥46.18 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥2.09 billion, an increase of 16.7% from ¥1.79 billion in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 2.9% from 2.8% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 12.9% on an annual basis to ¥72.09 billion from ¥63.85 billion, and total operating expenses grew 12.8% year over year to ¥68.70 billion from ¥60.91 billion.

Reported net income rose 21.9% on an annual basis to ¥2.10 billion, or ¥54.03 per share, from ¥1.72 billion, or ¥44.32 per share.
