Russia's Tricolor TV strikes content deal with Warner Bros.

Russia's Tricolor TV has acquired license to distribute content from Warner Bros. International Television Distribution.

Under the agreement, Tricolor will have rights to about 200 titles from the Time Warner Inc. unit, which will be aired on its Kinopremium HD and Ostrosyujetnoe HD channels.

The deal will allow Tricolor to distribute franchises such as "The Lord of the Rings," "Harry Potter" and "The Matrix" and DC films including "Superman Returns," "Green Lantern" and "Catwoman."

Tricolor and Warner Bros.' agreement is on a basic-pay, nonexclusive basis.
