Aker Solutions nabs contract for ADNOC's Dalma gas project offshore UAE

Oil and gas equipment and services provider Aker Solutions ASA was granted a contract worth 700 million Norwegian kroner by state-owned Abu Dhabi National Oil Co., or ADNOC, to deliver subsea umbilicals for its Dalma gas development project offshore the United Arab Emirates, according to an Aug. 21 release.

The contract's scope covers 100 kilometers of steel tube umbilicals. The umbilical system will provide power supply, communication services and chemical injection fluids, the company said in the release.

The company's facility in Mobile, Ala., will design, engineer and manufacture the system. Work will start immediately and will be finalized in the first quarter of 2021.

As of Aug. 20, US$1 was equivalent to 9.00 Norwegian Kroner.
