Thai Beverage sets up new Oishi subsidiary in Thailand

Bangkok-based food and drinks distributor Thai Beverage PCL disclosed Oct. 16 that its direct subsidiary Oishi Group PCL has established a new subsidiary in Thailand.

Thai Beverage owns 79.66% of Oishi, which operates Japanese restaurants and food and beverage businesses in Thailand and overseas.

Oishi said in a stock exchange filing earlier this year that it plans to form a new subsidiary called Oishi Delivery Co. Ltd. that will engage in e-commerce business.

The company's board approved the plan in August, allocating a capital of 1 million baht for the new unit.

Paisarn Aowsathaporn, Vicharn Panitvorapoom and Chanirat Komolratwattana were named directors of the business.

Aowsathaporn is the executive vice president of food business at Oisihi.

As of Oct. 16, US$1 was equivalent to 30.36 baht.
