Canadian Solar to supply modules for 333-MWp Australian solar farm

Canadian Solar Inc. was selected by Edify Energy and Octopus Investments to supply solar modules for the 333-MWp/275-MW AC Darlington Point solar farm in New South Wales, Australia.

Project construction will start in March with 820,000 solar modules and should be complete in early 2020. Canadian Solar, together with Signal Energy, will provide engineering, procurement and construction services for the solar facility, according to a Jan. 17 news release.

Once complete, the project is expected to generate enough power for more than 115,000 homes in New South Wales and displace nearly 600,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually.
