Stockholders of Jacksonville, Fla.-based Atlantic Coast Financial Corp. on March 21 voted to approve the company's merger into Moultrie, Ga.-based Ameris Bancorp.

The deal, which remains subject to regulatory approval, is expected to close during the second quarter.
