BlackRock APAC real estate head of investments quits

BlackRock Inc.'s head of investments for Asia-Pacific real estate, Greg Lapham, resigned from his role to pursue other opportunities, industry journal PERE News reported Aug. 27, citing the firm's Asia-Pacific real estate head, John Saunders.

BlackRock's head of Australia real estate, Hamish MacDonald, will be assuming Lapham's role, expanding his position's coverage to the Asia-Pacific region's investment teams.

The report noted that Lapham's departure will cause no impact in the strategic direction of the real estate investment platform.

Lapham will officially end his 10-year stay with the firm, which includes a time with Asia and Europe-focused private equity real estate business MGPA, at the end of September.
