Aqua America meets analyst estimates with Q2 adjusted EPS

Aqua America Inc. on Aug. 6 reported adjusted income of $66.8 million, or 37 cents per share, in the 2019 second quarter, compared with $66.6 million, or 37 cents per share, in the year-ago quarter.

The S&P Global Market Intelligence consensus normalized EPS estimate for the most recent quarter was 37 cents.

GAAP net income was $54.9 million, or 25 cents per share, down from $66.6 million, or 37 cents per share, in the prior-year period.

Operating revenues for the quarter were $218.9 million, an increase from $211.9 million in the second quarter of 2018.

The water utility reaffirmed its full-year 2019 adjusted income guidance of $1.45 per share to $1.50 per share.
