RH fiscal Q4 profit climbs 7.7% YOY

4910572 said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended Jan. 31 amounted to $1.02 per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of $1.01 per share.

EPS rose 6.0% year over year from 96 cents.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was $42.4 million, a gain of 7.7% from $39.4 million in the fourth quarter ended Feb. 1, 2014.

The normalized profit margin dropped to 7.3% from 8.3% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 23.5% year over year to $582.7 million from $471.7 million, and total operating expenses increased 25.9% from the prior-year period to $508.9 million from $404.2 million.

Reported net income rose 60.1% year over year to $42.7 million, or $1.02 per share, from $26.7 million, or 65 cents per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled $2.35 per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus normalized EPS estimate of $2.35.

EPS rose 28.4% from $1.83 in the prior year.

Normalized net income was $97.4 million, an increase of 31.5% from $74.1 million in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue rose 20.4% year over year to $1.87 billion from $1.55 billion, and total operating expenses rose 19.0% on an annual basis to $1.69 billion from $1.42 billion.
