Com7 profit misses consensus by 26.2% in Q4

Com7 Public Company Ltd said its normalized net income for the fourth quarter came to 9 satang per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 12 satang per share.

EPS increased 32.9% year over year from 7 satang.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 110.8 million baht, a gain of 39.1% from 79.7 million baht in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 2.1% from 1.8% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased 23.1% year over year to 5.38 billion baht from 4.37 billion baht, and total operating expenses rose 22.4% year over year to 5.20 billion baht from 4.25 billion baht.

Reported net income rose 38.8% from the prior-year period to 146.2 million baht, or 12 satang per share, from 105.4 million baht, or 9 satang per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 26 satang per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus normalized EPS estimate of 33 satang.

EPS rose 24.2% from 21 satang in the prior year.

Normalized net income was 317.2 million baht, an increase of 46.3% from 216.8 million baht in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue grew 14.8% from the prior-year period to 17.20 billion baht from 14.99 billion baht, and total operating expenses grew 14.2% on an annual basis to 16.69 billion baht from 14.61 billion baht.

The company said reported net income grew 51.4% year over year to 406.5 million baht, or 34 satang per share, in the full year, from 268.5 million baht, or 26 satang per share.

As of Feb. 22, US$1 was equivalent to 35.02 baht.
