Arigatou Services Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended Feb. 28 was ¥141.56 per share, a gain of 9.1% from ¥129.80 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥133.8 million, a gain of 8.1% from ¥123.8 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 6.4% from 6.2% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose 6.1% year over year to ¥2.10 billion from ¥1.98 billion, and total operating expenses climbed 6.1% year over year to ¥1.89 billion from ¥1.78 billion.
Reported net income increased 43.8% year over year to ¥115.0 million, or ¥121.71 per share, from ¥80.0 million, or ¥83.91 per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥324.59 per share, a gain of 6.7% from ¥304.16 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥307.5 million, a rise of 6.0% from ¥290.0 million in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue increased year over year to ¥7.63 billion from ¥7.42 billion, and total operating expenses rose year over year to ¥7.14 billion from ¥6.94 billion.
The company said reported net income rose 22.9% year over year to ¥258.0 million, or ¥272.34 per share, in the full year, from ¥210.0 million, or ¥220.26 per share.
