Two Saudi Aramco Shell Refinery Co. contractors died and two others were injured on Oct. 13 during an investigation into an incident on a vessel, according to a notice from the company.
The refinery in Saudi Arabia's Jubail Industrial City was undergoing turnaround activities when the incident occurred, SASREF said.
In September, Saudi Arabian Oil Co. completed the acquisition of a 50% stake in SASREF from its joint venture partner Royal Dutch Shell PLC.
The refinery, which has a capacity of 305,000 barrels per day, produces liquefied petroleum gas, naphtha, kerosene, diesel, fuel oil and sulfur.
