Amarin Printing & Publishing Q1 loss widens 14.9% YOY

Amarin Printing and Publishing PCL said its first-quarter normalized net income was a loss of 48 satang per share, compared with a loss of 42 satang per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of 106.2 million baht, compared with a loss of 92.4 million baht in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin dropped to negative 28.6% from negative 23.5% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue fell 7.1% year over year to 365.9 million baht from 393.8 million baht, and total operating expenses decreased from the prior-year period to 513.8 million baht from 535.9 million baht.

Reported net income came to a loss of 171.6 million baht, or a loss of 78 satang per share, compared to a loss of 118.6 million baht, or a loss of 54 satang per share, in the prior-year period.

As of May 13, US$1 was equivalent to 35.48 baht.
