EDP Renováveis posts lower net profit in Q2'18 YOY

EDP Renováveis on July 25 posted net profit of €45 million in the second quarter of 2018, compared with €66 million in the year-ago period.

The company reported second-quarter EBITDA of €305 million, from €345 million in the second quarter of 2017.

EDPR's second-quarter 2018 revenues were €395 million, with North American revenues at €197 million. Second-quarter 2017 revenues were €460 million.

The EDP - Energias de Portugal SA affiliate's North American segment booked EBITDA for the second quarter of 2018 of €165 million, compared to EBITDA of €184 million in the second quarter of 2017.

Total capital expenditure in the most recent quarter was €199 million, compared to €331 million in the corresponding quarter of 2017.
