Japanese e-commerce and internet services firm Rakuten Inc. repurchased 8,324,700 of its common shares between May 1 and May 31.
The shares purchased totaled ¥10.36 billion, Rakuten said June 1.
The repurchases are part of the ¥100 billion buyback program announced by the company in February.
A total of 39,211,100 shares have been repurchased under the program, for a total consideration of ¥44.93 billion.
As of June 1, US$1 was equivalent to ¥111.24.
