Macquarie Group Ltd. is in advanced negotiations to acquire a majority stake in data center operator Netrality, Bloomberg News reported, citing people with knowledge of the matter.
A deal with Macquarie's infrastructure investment affiliate could be disclosed in the coming weeks, the sources told the news outlet. The size of the potential deal remains uncertain.
The target company, also known as Netrality Data Centers, operates data centers in Chicago; Houston; Kansas City, Mo.; Philadelphia; and St. Louis.
A Macquarie representative did not comment, while Netrality representatives did not respond to requests for comment, according to Bloomberg.
