Indivior PLC said it received a subpoena from the California Insurance Commissioner requesting documents related to its opioid addiction therapy Suboxone.
The California Department of Insurance's subpoena, issued to the company's unit Indivior Inc., demanded documents on how Suboxone's film works in the body when placed under the tongue, manufacturing records for the product, and the potential to develop a dependency on the film.
The drugmaker said it would comply with the subpoena and will cooperate with the government probe.
