Bricks and mortar: Branch news through June 6

S&P Global Market Intelligence rounds up notable branch openings and closings over the past week. This wrap excludes certain moves by banks with more than $5 billion in assets and certain credit unions.

Mid-Atlantic

Saratoga National Bank and Trust Co. is planning to open a branch at 251 State Street in Schenectady, N.Y., which will be its 10th branch overall, according to a press release.

The Saratoga Springs, N.Y.-based bank is a unit of Arrow Financial Corp.

Millersburg, Pa.-based Mid Penn Bank, a unit of Mid Penn Bancorp Inc., will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 7 for the opening of its branch at 1021 Centre Turnpike in Orwigsburg, Pa.

The branch will operate as Miners Bank, a division of Mid Penn Bank, according to a press release.

Bloomsburg, Pa.-based First Columbia Bank & Trust Co., a subsidiary of CCFNB Bancorp Inc., will enter Montour County, Pa., with the opening of a branch at 400 Walnut Street in Danville, Pa., on June 8.

The full-service branch is the bank's 14th location overall, according to a press release.

Middletown, N.Y.-based Orange Bank & Trust Co., a unit of Orange County Bancorp Inc., is set to open a full-service branch at 254 South Main Street in New City, N.Y., with a ribbon cutting ceremony on June 27, according to a press release.

Souderton, Pa.-based Univest Bank and Trust Co. opened a branch at 940 2nd Street Pike in Richboro, Pa., according to the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities' summary of activities.

Univest Corp. of Pennsylvania is the bank's parent company.

The state banking regulator approved Fort Washington, Pa.-based TruMark Financial CU's application to establish a branch at 1900 W. Olney Avenue in Philadelphia.

Glen Head, N.Y.-based First National Bank of Long Island, a unit of First of Long Island Corp., obtained the OCC's approval to open two branches in New York — at 25457 Horace Harding Expressway in Little Neck, and at 227 Smith Street in Brooklyn, according to the regulator's website.

Midwest

Springfield, Mo.-based OakStar Bank is seeking to obtain the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis' approval to open two branches in Missouri — at 101 North Maple in Buffalo, and at 1313 North 2nd Street in Clinton, according to a Federal Reserve release.

The bank is a subsidiary of OakStar Bancshares Inc.

Manitowoc, Wis.-based Bank First National, a subsidiary of Bank First National Corp., began construction of a banking facility located off Eastern Avenue in Plymouth, Wis., according to a press release. The project is expected to be completed by early 2018.

Paducah, Ky.-based Paducah Bank and Trust Co., a unit of Paducah Bank Shares Inc., in March opened a loan production office at 10918 Jordain Drive in Louisville, Ky., according to the Kentucky Department of Financial Institutions' banking applications activity report.

Berea, Ky.-based Peoples Bank & Trust Co. of Madison County, a unit of Whitaker Bank Corp. of Kentucky, is set to close its branch at 820 Eastern Bypass in Richmond, Ky., on June 30, according to the state banking regulator's banking applications activity report.

Community Exchange Bancshares Inc. unit Hindman, Ky.-based Bank of Hindman in March opened a loan production office at 1795 Alysheba Way, Suite 6205, in Lexington, Ky., according to the state banking regulator's banking applications activity report.

Waukesha, Wis.-based First Federal Bank of Wisconsin closed its branch at 134 Wisconsin Avenue in Waukesha, according to the OCC's website.

Mora, Minn.-based Neighborhood National Bank, a unit of Peoples Bankshares Inc., closed its branch at 23 Main Street in Crosby, Minn., according to the OCC's website.

Charleroi, Pa.-based cfsbank notified the OCC that it is opening a branch at 145 Technology Drive in Canonsburg, Pa.

The bank is a unit of CF Financial Corp. Charleroi Financial MHC is the bank's ultimate parent.

Lancaster, Ky.-based First Southern National Bank, a subsidiary of First Southern Bancorp Inc., notified the OCC that it intends to close its branch at N.W. corner of Main and Church Street in Bremen, Ky.

Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.-based WoodTrust Bank, a unit of WoodTrust Financial Corp, opened a full-service branch at 210 E. Bridge Street, on the corner of Bridge Street and Third Street, in Wausau, Wis.

The branch is the bank's seventh branch, overall, according to a press release.

Southeast

SouthCrest Financial Group Inc., the parent company of SouthCrest Bank NA, opened its new headquarters and corporate offices in the Federal Home Loan Bank Building at 1475 Peachtree Street in midtown Atlanta, according to a press release.

The company moved its headquarters to Atlanta from Tyrone, Ga.

Southwest

Temple, Texas-based Extraco Banks NA notified the OCC of its plan to close its branch at 302 North Key Avenue in Lampassas, Texas.

The bank is a subsidiary of Extraco Delaware Corp. Extraco Corp. is the bank's parent company.

The Texas Department of Banking approved Waco, Texas-based Alliance Bank Central Texas' application to open a branch at 8810 W. Hwy. 84, Ste. 409, in Waco, according to the state regulator's website.

The bank is a subsidiary of ABCT Holdings Inc.

Bandera, Texas-based Texas Hill Country Bank, a subsidiary of Texas Hill Country Bancshares Inc., received the Texas banking regulator's approval to open a branch at 200 Earl Garrett Street, Ste. 208, in Kerrville, Texas.

Abernathy, Texas-based First State Bank, a unit of Turner Bancshares Inc., filed an application with the Texas Department of Banking for a branch at 518 S. 2nd Street in Haskell, Texas.
