Alpiq to delist from stock market amid takeover effort

Alpiq Holding AG said Oct. 16 it plans to submit its application to delist from the SIX Swiss Exchange within the coming few days.

The delisting is part of Schweizer Kraftwerksbeteiligungs-AG's effort to take Alpiq private. Schweizer Kraftwerksbeteiligungs, a subsidiary of CSA Energy Infrastructure Switzerland, recently tendered 1,418,243 free float shares in Alpiq.

CSA, together with the Consortium of Swiss Minority Shareholders and EOS Holding SA, holds 89.94% of share capital and voting rights in Alpiq.
