Wyndham Destinations Q2 net income jumps YOY

Wyndham Destinations reported second-quarter net income of $378 million, or $3.77 per share, an increase on a per-share basis from $85 million, or 81 cents per share, in the comparable 2017 period.

For the second quarter, adjusted net income from continuing operations gained 26.9% year over year on a per-share basis to $118 million, or $1.18 per share, from $97 million, or 93 cents per share.

The S&P Global Market Intelligence consensus EPS GAAP estimate for the second quarter was $1.17.

In reporting results, Wyndham Destinations said it expects adjusted net income in the range of $476.0 million to $496.0 million for the full year 2018, compared with previous guidance in the range of $463 million to $483 million.

The company also expects adjusted EPS for the full year at between $4.74 and $4.94 per share. The company previously offered guidance in the range of $4.55 to $4.75 per share. The lower numbers reflect a lower share count of 101 million outstanding shares and lower stock-based compensation, the company said.

The full-year 2018 S&P Global Market Intelligence consensus estimate for EPS GAAP is $4.36.
