The Romanian unit of hypermarket operator Carrefour SA in March launched a food delivery app and a chatbot, according to announcements posted on the unit's website.
The food delivery app Gurmandio, which was rolled out March 1, lets users order meals from local Carrefour stores and other local restaurants and have them delivered for free. The app also features multiple payment methods and allows customers to track their orders in real time.
Gurmandio can be accessed by users in the cities of Iasi, Suceava, Boto?ani, Piatra-Neamt, Galati and Târgu Jiu.
Meanwhile, Carrefour Romania on March 6 launched a chatbot called Lumea Carrefour, which is available through Facebook Inc.'s Messenger mobile app. The chatbot lets users search for a job inside the company. It also provides information about nearby Carrefour stores and acts as a feedback platform for users.
