Kakaku.com Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2015, came to ¥14.44 per share, a gain of 11.4% from ¥12.97 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥3.18 billion, an increase of 10.5% from ¥2.88 billion in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin dropped to 30.1% from 31.2% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased 14.5% on an annual basis to ¥10.56 billion from ¥9.22 billion, and total operating expenses climbed 18.0% from the prior-year period to ¥5.49 billion from ¥4.65 billion.
Reported net income rose 8.2% year over year to ¥3.38 billion, or ¥15.33 per share, from ¥3.12 billion, or ¥14.05 per share.
As of Feb. 10, US$1 was equivalent to ¥114.87.
