Loblaw partners with Imperial Oil to expand loyalty program

Loblaw Cos. Ltd. said March 13 that it is partnering with Imperial Oil Ltd. to allow members of its PC Optimum loyalty program to earn points at over 1,800 Esso gas stations.

The Canadian retailer added that the points program is already available at Mobil stations. Esso is operated by Imperial Oil parent Exxon Mobil Corp., which also owns oil company Mobil.

"Expanding our relationship with Imperial means our members can now earn PC Optimum points in more than 4,500 locations across the country. And that adds up quickly," Jim Noteboom, Loblaw's senior vice president for loyalty, said in the release.

Lowblaw rolled out its PC Optimum program Feb. 1.
