IT software company VMware Inc. intends to acquire Nyansa Inc., a provider of artificial intelligence-based network analytics services, for an undisclosed sum.
VMware said the acquisition will add monitoring and troubleshooting capabilities to its cloud platform, which will help regulate the performance of devices connected to the internet of things.
Nyansa's offering includes Voyance, a cloud-based artificial intelligence platform that helps monitor and analyze the performance of devices within an IT infrastructure network.
Deal completion is expected in VMware's first quarter of fiscal year 2021, subject to customary closing conditions.
VMware recently completed the acquisition of cloud-native platform provider Pivotal Software Inc. for an enterprise value of about $2.7 billion.
