BGT Corp. Q4 profit climbs YOY

BGT Corp. PCL said its normalized net income for the fourth quarter came to 3.6 million baht, a rise from 1.1 million baht in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 1.7% from 0.5% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose on an annual basis to 216.8 million baht from 208.7 million baht, and total operating expenses increased 7.0% year over year to 207.6 million baht from 194.0 million baht.

Reported net income fell 24.7% on an annual basis to 2.5 million baht, or 1 satang per share, from 3.3 million baht, or 1 satang per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 1 satang per share, compared with a loss of 4 satang per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was 5.3 million baht, compared with a loss of 16.1 million baht in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue increased 5.3% on an annual basis to 748.8 million baht from 711.4 million baht, and total operating expenses increased year over year to 733.1 million baht from 717.9 million baht.

The company said reported net income totaled 4.1 million baht, or 1 satang per share, in the full year, compared with a loss of 18.9 million baht, or a loss of 5 satang per share, the prior year.

As of Feb. 26, US$1 was equivalent to 35.74 baht.
