Evraz selling Sukha Balka unit for US$110M

Evraz Plc said May 26 that it agreed to sell Kadish Ltd., a holding company of EVRAZ Sukha Balka, to Berklemond Investments Ltd. for US$110 million.

Under the terms, an initial US$25 million is payable within two business days after signing, while the remainder will be settled in tranches until Dec. 31.

Proceeds from the transaction will be used for general corporate purposes, including debt reduction.

EVRAZ Sukha Balka has been a subsidiary of Evraz since 2007. Its ore enrichment plant in Ukraine has an annual production capacity of about 3.1 million tonnes of iron ore.
