Dong-Il Q2 profit falls YOY

Dong-Il Corp. said its second-quarter normalized net income came to 51.75 South Korean won per share, a decrease of 93.5% from 794.42 won per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 90.1 million won, a decline of 93.5% from 1.39 billion won in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin dropped to 0.0% from 0.7% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose on an annual basis to 207.58 billion won from 200.52 billion won, and total operating expenses climbed 5.3% year over year to 199.76 billion won from 189.71 billion won.

Reported net income fell 78.7% from the prior-year period to 343.5 million won, or 197.39 won per share, from 1.62 billion won, or 921.71 won per share.

As of Aug. 17, US$1 was equivalent to 1,183.06 South Korean won.
