Como Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended June 30 came to ¥3.45 per share, an increase from 69 sen per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥12.5 million, a gain from ¥2.5 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 0.9% from 0.2% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue grew on an annual basis to ¥1.35 billion from ¥1.33 billion, and total operating expenses came to ¥1.32 billion, compared with ¥1.33 billion in the prior-year period.
Reported net income came to ¥7.0 million, or ¥1.93 per share, compared to a loss of ¥2.0 million, or a loss of 55 sen per share, in the year-earlier period.
As of Aug. 14, US$1 was equivalent to ¥102.44.
