Amazon.com Inc. is expanding its Portland Tech Hub with a new 84,000-square-foot office that is expected to add 400 new tech jobs, according to an Aug. 21 announcement.
The U.S. e-commerce giant said it will hire new positions in fields such as software development, operations, IT, support engineering, solutions architects and product management.
Amazon entered the state of Oregon in 2010 and has since created more than 3,500 full-time jobs and invested over $9 billion, the company said.
The Portland Tech Hub builds and supports products and services for Amazon Web Services. The facility in downtown Portland is one of Amazon's 18 tech hubs in North America. The facilities have a combined headcount of 20,000 employees.
