Verizon Communications Inc. will roll out its 5G Ultra Wideband Network in Chicago and Minneapolis on April 11.
The next-generation communications network will be rolled out in select areas of Chicago and Minneapolis, with plans to expand the coverage area gradually.
The U.S. carrier is also offering a new 5G moto mod device exclusively to customers. Beginning March 14, customers anywhere in the U.S. can pre-order the 5G moto mod, which can be paired with the moto z3 to create a 5G-enabled smartphone.
Verizon postpaid customers with any Verizon unlimited plan, including Go Unlimited, Beyond Unlimited or Above Unlimited, can get unlimited 5G data for $10 per month.
Customers can receive a free moto z3 if they activate a new line of service on a Verizon device payment plan, or upgrade their smartphone and get a moto z3 for $10 a month for 24 months on Verizon's device payment plan.
