Clutter Inc., a tech-enabled storage company, acquired four self-storage properties in New York for $152 million from The Storage Fox Inc.
The deal for the portfolio, which includes properties in Long Island City, Brooklyn, White Plains and Yonkers, is Clutter's first real estate acquisition in the self-storage space. The buyer now expects to expand its customer base to include small business owners, contractors, pharmaceutical representatives and teachers.
Clutter plans to rebrand all four facilities and expects them to be fully operational under its brand by November. Clutter, a portfolio company of Sequoia Capital, manages the pickup, storage and retrieval of clients' belongings.
Barclays served as Clutter's exclusive financial adviser.
