J Escom Holdings Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to a loss of ¥1.84 per share, compared with 31 sen per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of ¥11.3 million, compared with income of ¥1.9 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin dropped to negative 13.7% from 1.7% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue fell 27.4% on an annual basis to ¥82.0 million from ¥113.0 million, and total operating expenses declined 20.7% on an annual basis to ¥88.0 million from ¥111.0 million.
Reported net income came to a loss of ¥19.0 million, or a loss of ¥3.11 per share, compared to income of ¥1.0 million, or 16 sen per share, in the year-earlier period.
As of Feb. 6, US$1 was equivalent to ¥119.01.
