Jacksonville Bancorp shareholders approve deal with CNB Bank Shares

Shareholders of Jacksonville, Ill.-based Jacksonville Bancorp Inc. approved the company's acquisition by Carlinville, Ill.-based CNB Bank Shares Inc.

Upon deal completion, Jacksonville Savings Bank, a unit of Jacksonville Bancorp, will merge into CNB Bank & Trust NA, a unit of CNB Bank Shares.

The deal is expected to close May 31 and has already received approvals from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
