Greensill gets $800M investment from Softbank's Vision Fund

Greensill Capital (UK) Ltd. confirmed that it has received an $800 million investment from SoftBank Group Corp. through its SoftBank Vision Fund LP.

Greensill, which provides alternative supply chain funding to companies, said it plans to use the funding to build on its partnership with General Atlantic (UK) LLP to further develop its global network. It also intends to accelerate its recent entry into Brazil and plans to enter other global markets including China and India.

The investment valued Greensill at $3.5 billion, Bloomberg News reported earlier.

Morgan Stanley was a financial adviser on the transaction, while Allen & Overy was legal adviser to Greensill.
